He knew where to stop to take great pictures, was an educated guide, and gave us time to enjoy Sorrento and Positano. He had us laughing and singing the whole day. My friend and I were on a Mediterranean cruise and our second port was Naples. At the port was Vito, our tour guide, waiting for us. Vito was very cheerful, enthusiastic and uplifting right from the start. As well Vito was friendly, helpful, kind, and willing to change up our itinerary to our needs. He was extremely accommodating! We were only there for the day, Vito was an amazing driver and very knowledgeable of the locations that he took us. His driving was impeccable where he was able to maneuver through very crowded roads as well as narrow roads with ease and safety
Our guide Vito took us to various amazing breathtaking areas. First stop was to a small town, Ravello that has the most beautiful view imaginable. Ravello located at the top of the Dragone Valley, enclosed with endless numbers of amazing views. One of the most famous architecture in Ravello is Villa Rufolo which I had the opportunity to visit. With its luxurious hotels, culture, cuisine and much more, Ravello has everything it requires to charm its many visitors. We had plenty of time to explore and take great pictures. As well wine tasting at Ettore Sammarro. As we proceeded to the the Amalfi coast, Vito pointed out many other towns which were breathtaking. Amalfi coast was just spectacular, surrounded by dramatic cliffs and coastal scenery. Its unique natural landscape is a must see attraction. Thanx to Vito we were able to see charming coves, cliffs, caverns, bays, natural arches and small pebble beaches. Typical houses, painted in warm pastel colours, follow the natural slope of the foothills of Mount Lattari, creating a very picturesque lanscape. I must say it is the most enchanting, and seductive landscape that I have every seen. WoW! Moving along to Positano is the pearl of the Amalifi Coast, cluster of pastel houses clinging to the steep ledges and intense fragrance of lemons. Pomepii was spectacular!
Vito you were alot of fun and I thank you for an enjoyable, informative and memorable tour. I highly recommend "See Amalfi Coast" as your tour guide if you want to have an awesome time!

One of the best days we spent during our month's visit to the Mediterrean was the one with Vito and the Amalfi Coast. We were picked up promptly at the port on September 27, 2010 and driven over the mountains to the lovely town of Ravello. We continued down the coastline seeing Amalfi and then Positano. I wanted to make sure to thank Carmine for his hospitality and especially our driver. Roberto what can I say, he made this long expansive day trip very memorable, the sights were beyond breathtaking and the lunch spot he chose was by far the best food we had the whole time we were in Italy.

To see the Amalfi coast was something I've wanted to do for some time, but I wasn't exactly sure how I was going to make that happen. After booking an NCL cruise for Sept. 2010 I began to research car tours through various cruise blogs for recommendations. Of course, Carmine's 'See Amalfi Coast' was mentioned several times with rave reviews. Carmine guaranteed he would be at the port to pick us up and sure enough one of his associates, Mirko, was there waiting for us to arrive. He was a most patient and kind man, taking great care to stop for pictures and entertain my son. His gracious nature was comforting. While he was clearly upset that the weather was not perfect -- this man cares about what you think of his country -- we had an enjoyable day and learned many things. While I wanted to stay in Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi a little longer, he convinced me that getting back to the ship in plenty of time was wise so it wouldn't leave without us. While one day in the Amalfi coast is certainly not enough, it was clearly the highlight of our land-based sightseeing and I would highly recommend See Amalfi Coast as the company to take you there.

Amalfi Coast and Sorrento, my favorite.
First let me do my commercial. We were met at the ramp by our driver/guide for the day Carmine Foggia of www.seeamalficoast.com he is my new Italian action hero. Carmine made our day perfect. He took us to see what WE wanted to see and took such good care of us it made us feel like Royalty.
We were met at the pier and whisked away in a Mercedes Benz. We decided to skip the city of Naples and went straight to Pompeii. On the way we passed "il Vesuvis" Mount Vesuvius. In the same area we were taken to the Cameo Store, Donadio Coralli E. Cammei, where we were given a demonstration on the art of carving Cameo's. www.donadio.it Naturally we had to buy something, the staff was lovely and not only showed us many many cameo pieces but also gave me a DVD which I will download to the site when I get home. It was a very interesting stop.
After the Cameo store we headed for the hills and the Amalfi Coast Drive, this is about a 25 mile drive of over 600 twists and turns that showcase the beautiful cliffs, waters and vistas of the area. Fruit stands, olive trees and bougainvillea trees line this amazing coastline. This trip is not for the faint of heart or those who have motion sickness, (take your Dramamine before hand) trip took us to the town of Positano. This is a shoppers dream and a nightmare for anyone not used to driving these winding streets. Scooters are parked everywhere and the twists and turns make it challenging for anyone not used to these roads. In Positano unique craft stores cascade down the steps to the bottom of the hill, there is no traffic allowed so you have to be able to climb. Since this was not the case with us Carmine took his time and stopped along the roadside to let us peek at what this quaint town had to offer. We decided to stop in Sorrento for lunch and on the way there, along the same coastal road he stopped to pick fresh figs from a tree on the side of the road that he pealed for Charlotte and myself. We had been having a discussion about the fig and olive trees in the area, the olive trees actually have nets attached to the tree to collect the olives, the easiest way to pick the olives is to shake the tree and let them fall into the nets. Ahhh..... Sorrento, this was my favorite stop. After the houses hanging on the winding cliffs it was amazing to drive into the town proper and see a beautiful plaza filled with colorful flowers greenery, restaurants and shops. Here Carmine took us to the Tasso Restorante at Via Correale in Sorrento. After a fantastic lunch of Margarita Pizza and homemade Ravioli we went to shop in the small pedestrian streets of this magnificent town. Here we walked among the shops and bought pottery, pasta and leather goods. On the way back to Naples one of the requests from Charlotte was for "gelato" Carmine called ahead to a shop and hand delivered gelato to us in the car for a refresher on the way back to the ship
When we began to plan this trip I wanted to see as much as possible taking a private car with a experienced guide that has all the permits to enter the ports and "hot spots" made our wishes come true, it was truly a memorable visit. One more thing, Carmine and his cousin Vito (every woman's dream date) who run this company have a passion for the area, that will make your trip memorable. If you ever go to Naples, I can highly recommend this company.

We did the Pompeii-Sorento-Positano tour and our drier was Giavanni. We had the best day and he made the trip ery funny and informative. He took us too a wonderful restaurant and we had an wonderful typical Napolian Meal. The places we visited were breathtaking.

When my husband and I decided to take a Mediterranean Cruise for our honeymoon we did some research and discovered your web site and so decided to spend our port day in Naples exploring the Amalfi Coast with Vitto. This by far was the most amazing day of our 14 day trip! We were greated at the port by Vitto and from the moment we stepped into the vehicle we were enjoying ourselves. Vitto was so friendly and accomodating! We could not have asked for a more perfect tour guide! The day was filled with various stops in three towns along the coast where we had time to explore the most beautiful romantic place I have ever experienced.

One of the high lights was definitely our lunch in Positano where we experienced a delicious home made Italian meal where we were greeted like one of the family and enjoyed the spectacular view of the coast.

We had Vittorio for 8 hours to see the Amalfi Coast. It was the best day of our whole trip! My wife and I plus 2 other couples really enjoyed our one day tour of Pompeii, Positano and Sorrento with Vito on 11 May. The weather was great for touring, Positano is incredible, and the lunch at La Tagliata high over that city was wonderful. It is amazing how Vito manages to negotiate all those hairpin curves getting up there on those very narrow roads. But then again, he's one of the good guys, and his "Uncle" does sing some ear popping Italian/American songs on the car CD player. We'd recommend See Amalfi Coast tours any time.

The drive down the coast was great and lunch at La Tagliata was so much fun. Naples was the last stop on our cruise, and you made it memorable for our group of 6. Thanks again for a great day!

I am sorry this message is so late! We really enjoyed the day with you visiting Amalfi and Atrani. We appreciate all of the photo opportunity stops and how accomodating you were. I especially appreciate your help with finding my family and paperwork at the Town Hall in Amalfi! I wouldnt have been able to do it without you. This meant alot to me and my family.
